  • Tirzepatide for Medical Weight Loss

A Prescription Option for Chronic Weight Management

We offer treatment with Tirzepatide, an injectable medication used for chronic weight management in certain adults when combined with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity.

Care is provided by a licensed Nurse Practitioner through both telehealth and in-person visits in Illinois.

    What Is Tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide is a once-weekly injectable prescription medication that works on two hormone receptors involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation (GIP and GLP-1).

    It may help:

    • Reduce appetite
    • Increase feelings of fullness
    • Support portion control
    • Improve blood sugar regulation

It is not a stimulant and does not work like traditional appetite suppressants.

    Important Safety Information

Tirzepatide is not appropriate for everyone.

Do not use tirzepatide if you:

    • Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma
    • Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
    • Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
    • Have had a serious allergic reaction to tirzepatide

Use with caution in patients with:

    • History of pancreatitis
    • Gallbladder disease
    • Severe gastrointestinal disease
    • Diabetic retinopathy

    Possible Side Effects

    Common side effects may include:

    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhea or constipation
    • Decreased appetite
    • Abdominal discomfort

Serious side effects are possible but uncommon. These include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury, and possible thyroid tumors (observed in animal studies).

Individual results vary. No specific weight loss outcomes are guaranteed.
