Your Questions About Our Services Answered

Our Nurse Practitioner–owned clinic in Illinois provides a range of services, including wellness visits, problem-focused visits, IV therapy, neurotoxins, and more. Below are answers to common questions from patients.

    General Clinic Questions

Q: Who provides care at your clinic?
A: All services are provided by a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority, under Illinois law.

Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes. We schedule all visits to ensure proper evaluation, safety, and individualized care. Some services may offer telehealth or in-person options. You can book here or call/text the clinic.

Q: What should I bring to my visit?
A: Bring a list of medications, relevant medical records, and any questions you may have.

What is the difference between tirzepatide and semaglutide?

A: Both Semaglutide (FDA-approved for chronic weight management under the brand Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (FDA-approved for chronic weight management under the brand Zepbound) are once-weekly injectable medications used as part of a comprehensive weight management plan.

Semaglutide works by activating the GLP-1 receptor, which helps regulate appetite, food intake, and blood sugar levels.

Tirzepatide activates two receptors — GLP-1 and GIP — both of which play a role in appetite regulation and metabolic function.

Both medications are intended to be used alongside nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle changes.

Which medication leads to more weight loss?

A: In clinical trials, both medications were associated with significant weight reduction when combined with lifestyle modification. Some studies have shown greater average weight loss with tirzepatide compared to semaglutide; however, individual results vary.

Weight loss outcomes depend on many factors, including:

    • Medical history
    • Metabolic health
    • Medication adherence
    • Nutrition and activity habits
    • Ongoing lifestyle support

No medication guarantees a specific amount of weight loss, and the most appropriate option depends on your individual health profile.

    Problem-Focused Visits

    Q: What is a problem-focused visit?
A: A visit focused on a specific health issue, such as minor infections, acute illnesses, or basic health concerns. These visits allow evaluation, testing, and treatment recommendations.

    Q: Can I receive prescriptions during a problem-focused visit?
    A: Yes, if clinically appropriate.

    Comprehensive Wellness Visits

Q: What is included in a wellness visit?
A: A full medical review, head-to-toe examination, preventive screenings, lifestyle counseling, chronic condition review, and personalized wellness planning.

Q: How often should I have a wellness visit?
A: Typically once per year, but frequency may vary based on age, health status, and clinical recommendations.

    IV Therapy & Infusions

Q: What IV therapies do you offer?
A: We provide hydration, vitamin infusions, glutathione, and specialized blends like Liquivida. Each treatment is individualized and medically supervised.

    Q: Are IV therapies safe?
A: Yes, when administered by licensed medical staff under sterile technique and proper monitoring. Patients are evaluated for contraindications before treatment.

    Neurotoxin Treatments (Jeuveau®)

    Q: What is Jeuveau®?
A: Jeuveau® is a prescription neurotoxin used to temporarily relax certain facial muscles, reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.

Q: What is a Lip Flip?
A: A cosmetic treatment using Jeuveau® to subtly rotate the upper lip outward. Topical lidocaine is applied prior to injection for comfort.

    Q: Are neurotoxin treatments safe?
A: When administered by licensed providers, these treatments are generally well-tolerated. Possible side effects include mild swelling, bruising, or temporary asymmetry.

    Vitamin & Nutrient Injections

    Q: What is a B12 injection?
A: Vitamin B12 injections provide a clinically appropriate dose directly to the muscle, supporting normal cellular and metabolic function when indicated.

Q: Can I receive glutathione IV therapy?
A: Yes. Glutathione is administered intravenously under medical supervision. Individual responses vary, and it is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent disease.

    Safety & Medical Oversight

Q: Are all treatments supervised by a medical professional?
A: Yes. All procedures and therapies are provided by a licensed Nurse Practitioner in accordance with Illinois law.

Q: What if I have a chronic medical condition?
A: Please inform us before your visit. We review medical history and coordinate care to ensure treatments are safe and appropriate.
